DAY 1

FLY INTO THE LAND OF HAPPINESS -DELHI- PARO – THIMPHU- COMBINATION
OF THE ANCIENT AND THE MODERN
• Meet your tour guide and driver at the airport
• Drive to Thimphu – 1.5 hour
• Stop at Tachog Goemba Iron Chain Bridge
• Welcome drinks and check in your hotel
• Visit Memorial Chorten Stupa – Congregation of devout Buddhists
circumambulating the Chorten from dawn till dusk
• Visit Buddha Dordenma – 51.5meter bronze Shakyamuni Buddha
statue gilded in gold and view of Thimphu valley
• Visit farmer’s market, try momos & other local food
• TashiChho Dzong/Fortress of Splendid Religion – Office of the Dragon
King of Bhutan (Visit after office hours)

DAY 2

THIMPHU VALLEY EXCURSION
• Start your day by visiting Changangkha Lhakhang – the oldest temple in
Thimphu
• Visit National Library – houses world’s largest book

• Walk around Takin Preserve – national animal of Bhutan with the head
of a goat and body of a cow
• Sangaygang viewpoint
• Visit Textile Academy

Bhutanese craftsmen and craftswomen
• Free time in Thimphu town – check out Norzin Lam, Clock Tower

Day-03

THIMPHU – PUNAKHA VALLEY- THE OLD CAPITAL OF BHUTAN
• Drive to Punakha – 2.30 hours
• Stop at Dochulaa Pass –3,150 meters- On a clear day spectacular view
of the snowcapped Himalayas
• Circumambulate 108 chortens/stupas
• Continue drive towards Punakha
• Walk to Chimi Lhakhang/Fertility temple – 20 minutes
• Visit Punakha Dzong / Fortress of Great Bliss
• Walk across the Iron Suspension Bridge- Longest iron bridge
• Overnight: Stay in Punakha

PUNAKHA – PARO VALLEY

TAKTSANG MONASTERY – THE CULTURAL ICON OF BHUTAN
• Hike to Taktsang Monastery/Tiger’s Nest (3 hours uphill climb, 2 hours

To reserve your seat, a registration deposit of 40% of the tour cost must be paid in advance. Registration deposit will not be refunded under any circumstance. You have booked group tour where VTSAFARIS requires to book services like hotels,airlines etc. in advance.
